About the Recipe
This is my favorite holiday dish! Please let me know what you think!
Ingredients
2 lb frozen Hash Browns
8 Tablespoons Salted Butter
16 Oz Sour Cream
1 can 10.5 Oz Cream of Mushroom
Salt & Pepper
8 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese
2 Cups crushed Corn Chex
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl but save chex cereal for last step. Once mixed place in a 9x13 oven safe dish. Bake for 60 minutes uncovered. Remove once bubbly. Sometimes it takes longer than 1 hour.
Step 3
Mix enough Chex to cover the top of your dish with a single layer with melted butter in a bowl. Then add to the top of your potatoes. Place back in the oven to toast. Do not leave too long or it will burn. Remove once golden brown edges start to appear.
Step 4
This is the most important step... DO NOT CONSUME AS SOON AS YOU REMOVED IT FROM THE OVEN like I did last Thanksgiving! But Enjoy when at a reasonable temperature!
